KID mixes nostalgic comfort food with a more grown-up bar-and-restaurant feel, moving from coffee and lunch at the weekend into dinner, cocktails and wine later in the day. The menu is playful without turning the whole thing into a gimmick.

It works especially well when you want a proper sit-down stop on the western side of the Jordaan rather than another quick snack. Weekend afternoons have a different rhythm from dinner service, and the daily break between them is worth planning around.
