Long-running Jordaan gelateria making Italian ice cream in-house.
Monte Pelmo is a proper neighbourhood gelateria rather than a dessert menu attached to a restaurant. The choice changes, the scoops are generous and the whole stop has the easy rhythm of somewhere people have been returning to for years.
It is an obvious warm-weather detour in the Jordaan, but it works just as well as the final stop after dinner nearby. Grab a cone and keep walking rather than trying to turn it into a bigger event.
