Phở Lê is a small Vietnamese restaurant where a steaming bowl of pho is the obvious move. The setup is casual and cosy, with spring rolls and other familiar dishes around the edges if you want to make more of the meal.

It works particularly well on a colder or slower day around the Jordaan and western centre. This is the kind of place to sit down, reset with a hot bowl and then carry on towards the canals.
